The Process

Before sending Client Intake forms to Lawyer's Helper for processing, please do the following:

Check to make sure the entire forms set contains 28 pages.

Check to make sure client has filled out the forms completely.

There should be no question marks (?) for answers.

All questions answered with a "yes" on the Statement of Affairs should have a detailed answer accompanying the question.

The income form should be compared to an actual debtor paycheck stub to verify the amounts are accurate (or you can include a copy of the most recent paycheck stub with the Client Intake Form but keep copies for your records).

To protect yourself, obtain a copy of the debtor's driver's license and the social security card they provided on the general information form.

If there are any pending lawsuits, foreclosures or wage garnishments, a copy of the court pleading should be included with the complete set of Client Intake Forms.

NOTE : Lawyer's Helper initially prepares your client's petition within hours of receipt. The only delays we experience occur when the client does not respond to our telephone message to review their petition or they do not thoroughly complete the Questionnaire. Please remember to inform your client that they will receive a telephone call from Lawyer's Helper to obtain any additional information in order to complete their petition. We always identify ourselves on your behalf so the client understands our association with you.

LEGAL DISCLAIMER: Lawyer's Helper is not a law firm. We cannot provide legal representation or advice. Our services offer only the filling out of bankruptcy forms. All questions should be directed to your attorney.
